Following eleventh-hour negotiations among the Finance Committee members and various political factions, the Iraqi Parliament finally conducted a session to vote on its national budget.
The session, which began late on Thursday, has already approved the first article concerning the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar to the US dollar. The exchange rate is now fixed at 1.3 Iraqi dinars for one US dollar.
