Dinarland Highlights – 7.9.26

Mountain Goat

…we don’t control the reinstatement…we all should know by now that the Iraqi dinar is being artificially suppressed and its real value, if it were to be restated to FOREX today, would be/should be much higher than 1/6 of a penny…we can see that a new Iraq is on the horizon. No, not decades or years from now. So, we have to wait a bit longer but the inevitable will happen and it has to happen.

I had one source that was a good source, still is, that is talking about if we don’t get something…by Thursday, then we’re looking at the weekend to be notified.  Then another…extremely high source, is telling us if everything goes according to plan, …we will be exchanging very early next week.

I have heard over and over and over that the only allowable float is a 2% per year. That’s one thing that my sources agree on lock step that any float would be a managed float with an acceptable level of float at 2% per year. So those that think they’re going to hang onto it and make a fortune, I just think you’re foolish.  I very much believe who all has told me that one…

Article:
“Iraqi dinar will rise once Erbil and Baghdad finalize the ASYCUDA agreement”

This is a very large piece of the puzzle we are waiting for and looking for that is going to accelerate what we’re all waiting for, which is the revaluation of the Iraqi dinar…Before ASYCUDA imagine someone brings 1,000 TVs into Iraq.  They tell customs the TVs are worth only $20,000.  But the TVs are actually worth $500,000… everything is done by… writing things down with pen and notepad…They pay very little tax and the government loses money.  That’s how c********n wins…As of July 10th this new AYCUDA system gets implemented…That means…the system know what the product is, where it came from, who bought it, what it is actually worth, how much tax should be paid on it…I’d say trillions of dollars have been stolen just through their failed border system in Iraq.  This is a huge deal.

Sometimes it’s fun to speculate…If I want to have $10 million when it’s all said and done, how much Iraqi dinar do I have to own? …Play with the numbers, play with the rates and see what that number would be for you.  I have always tried to base it on the worst case scenario, which would be the lowest rate plausible.   How much Iraq dinar would I have to own to walk away with a certain number in my head that would make me happy?  That’s how I based my entire investment strategy.  Any  number that it revalues higher than that is all icing on the cake.

I am a true believer.  I believe the revaluation is not a matter of if but when.  I believe this will be one of the largest financial events in our lifetime...You probably feel that way too.  I’m excited you’re here…

My teams are focused on one thing, and that is to start to watch the value of the Iraq dinar climb…while the market rate is destroyed after July 10th.  I find that very exciting.  We are going to be able to see the evidence of the shadows that we have been seeing or a long time.

Question:
“When we’re watching it float, for instance $0.50 cents, would you still be able to cash in at that time?”

Frank26: Yeah!  If you have a million dinar it would be a half a million dollars.  Not bad.  It’s up to you.  Take the money and invest it…You don’t have to wait for the RV.  You don’t have to wait for a float.  You don’t have to wait for it to climb.  Me, at my age, at 70 years old, I’m going at 1 to 1…You can have all your d**n 3-zero notes.  I’m all set…I may hold on to a few million dinars…and let that work for me…I’m going to go 90% cashed out, 10% I’ll hold on to  watch it climb…I don’t think it would be wise to sit there and wait and gamble to see if the markets will take it to an RI or RV.  What if it doesn’t?

You’re not going to see the new exchange rate boom! At the flip of a switch.  It’s going to be a slow process of supply and demand that will take it to a level that we hope is 1 to 1…It’s a process but after the 10th look out!

PMZ’s trip to DC…we have three different time frames being mentioned.  The Majority of the articles have suggested mid-July…A couple have said July 15th, a couple have said July 17th…I don’t think PMZ is going to DC specifically next week…I think PMZ is going to DC more the week of July 19th….maybe around 21st, 22nd, 23rd…I think  everything is pushed back one week.

They said the new government would take Iraq to the next stage.  That means the completed government with completed cabinet would take Iraq into the International world…They’re saving the cabinet for the very end because it’s the lynch pin.  When the cabinet is done that completes the government, they’re going to change the rate shortly after that.

What does it cost to print a banknote?  Modern banknotes with advanced security features generally cost between 5 to 10 cents each.  If they want high, high security notes, then the cost goes up to 10 to 30 cents per bank note….The question becomes how many banknotes would Iraq need?  The estimation is Iraq would need between 4 to 8 billion banknotes.  That’s how many banknotes they believe are circulating …That includes the banknotes we have in the United States, UK and other parts of the world but it may not include the banknotes countries are holding.  The cost for…8 billion new printed banknotes at 15 cents per banknote would be $1.2 billion to reprint the money…There are additional costs:  designing the new notes… shipping …insurance…storage…ATM calibration for every ATM machine in Iraq…approximately $100 to $300 million.

The next thing I asked myself is, can Iraq afford it?  Surprisingly enough the answer is yes…Iraq’s foreign exchange reserves are between $90 to $110 billion in recent years.  Even $1 billion currency replacement would represent only 1% of its reserves…So, yes, Iraq could afford to reprint their currency.  Now, Why would Iraq reprint…?  Reprinting the currency would automatically give the Central Bank of Iraq control over the Iraqi currency…Reprinting the currency would not automatically change the exchange rate but it would enable an adjustment right around the corner of the Iraqi dinar…They could increase the value of their currency so much faster, so much easier and with more confidence if they reprint their  currency…That is exactly what Zimbabwe did…Zimbabwe gave everybody a 21-day swap window…

I believe we are talking about a managed float, not a free float until all those old 3 0 notes are dried up. The CBI will control the range of motion the dinar has.

Question:
“Will the activation of the ASYCUDA across the country on the 10th of July trigger a rate change?”

MilitiaMan: It is a plausible scenario for us to watch for the 10th…A timed REER adjustment could complement the ASYCUDA by providing a more realistic valuation backdrop for customs declarations and payments. It would make dinar denominated trade transactions less risky and more attractive

Article:
“Iraq has maintained its upper-middle income status in the World Bank’s 2026-2027 Country Income Classifications, joining Jordan, Turkey, China, Brazil, and Malaysia in the same bracket.”

This is good news in my opinion, which demonstrates stability, even though there is a military conflict spilling over the border from just to the East.

Article:
“Iraq resumes cash dollar shipments … but experts downplay their impact on the market!”

Quote:
“The Prime Minister’s financial advisor, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, confirmed on Tuesday that Iraq has resumed receiving shipments of US dollars in cash, with each shipment amounting to approximately $500 million…The continued arrival of cash dollar shipments sends a positive signal to the parallel market increasing the level of certainty among traders gradually leads to a narrowing of the gap between the official rate of 1,320 dinars per dollar and the parallel market rate,

Prior to this year we would get maybe one solid piece of intel a month and then it was every two weeks, then it was every week and now it’s almost every day.  There is an acceleration of solid news and intelligence coming out of Iraq and other countries too regarding their currencies and their revaluation of those currencies.  They’re coming into the US dollar system.
